The site for the retreat was to be located along the Hoover Dam Reservoir in Columbus, Ohio. The project consisted of a master plan of the entire retreat area, with later development of the project focusing on detailed design of a plaza space. The project covered all phases of design consisting of schematic design, design development, and construction documents.

The concept for the entry/exit space was to create a transitional experience in which the children can ease into the site and have a tranquil and reflective experience as they enter and exit the retreat center.
